Flock Blog

There is no question that the social web has quickly become a global phenomenon, spanning all languages, cultures and geographies. Flock has been distributed in 18 different languages, spanning the globe, but until today we have not offered a Pan-Latin Spanish version. As we had alluded to last week, we are delighted to announce that Flock has teamed up with Univision, the largest and most popular Spanish-language media company to exclusively distribute both an English and Spanish-language version of the Univision Edition of Flock. Univision will help introduce Flock to the large, and rapidly growing Hispanic community online.

Of the 22 Million Hispanics who are online today, 40% frequently spend time on social networks like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. With the Univision Edition of Flock, this vibrant and fast-growing community can now remain connected to their friends, their favorite social networks, and stay up to date with the best Spanish content available from Univision.

Here at Flock, we’re thrilled to have partnered with the enthusiastic team at Univision, and couldn’t be happier about the excitement with which they’ve proudly introduced Flock to their loyal audience of users. We’d also like to extend a very warm welcome to the Hispanic community online, and hope that the Univision Edition of Flock makes your web experience much more personal and gratifying than it has been with conventional browsers.

If you’re interested in seeing Flock explained in Spanish check out this video:

If you speak Spanish, please give it a try by downloading it at flock.univision.com. We look forward to hearing your impressions.

Cheers,

This is great news! It’s our goal to offer the best possible user experience for each locale we offer. Many Thanks go out to our dedicated team of localizers. They work hard to ensure that each locale has been translated and tested.

why, why UNIVISION.....i mean it´s not the only chanel bilingual for spanish...why, why, it´s a sad thing

Hello "Shawn",

This is indeed a very good news for many people.

I am wondering if Flock in Urdu is anywhere near being completed?

Hi there. I'm from Venezuela and I so love this browser. When will you integrate hotmail and msn messenger? It'd be all you need to make it perfect :)

hello, there is a strange error in Flock 2.5.5 in Mac, on having done searches in Google, he returns to the Google principal page without any motive, thank you

That's just great, mate!
I'm sticking with the English version though, but this will finally convince my friends of getting rid of bloody Internet Explorer.
Anyway, what's up with 3.0? Will it include a functionality similar to Chrome's Incognito?

@p4nic0: We teamed with Univision because they're the largest and most popular Spanish-language media company, meaning we can introduce many folks to a great new browser. This certainly doesn't exclude the possibility of other spanish-language developments in the future, and we'd love to hear what you're interested in.

@angilina: We don't have an Urdu version in the works, but we'd love to! If you're interested in helping (no programming experience necessary) please email bryan at flock dot com.

@Antonio Benitez: Thanks for the kind words! Unfortunately Hotmail does not provide an API that we can access, so currently integration is impossible. Hopefully this'll change in the future!

@Guido di Cesare: There's not much I can tell you about Flock 3, but I am fairly certain we will have some sort of incognito feature, as this is becoming standard across all browsers.
