I'm super excited to announce a brand new tool for all of you passionate Flockstars out there!
Top Flockstars is a way for you to get recognized and rewarded for your hard work telling the world how much you love Flock.
We thrive on the word-of-mouth evangelism that you all generate.  The majority of our 7.5 million downloads have been generated by you telling your friends, family, and colleagues about Flock. You love Flock, you tell your friends, and therefore we are able to keep making Flock better for you. We're immensely grateful for this gift you give us, and we wanted to give something back to you.
It's pretty simple:
1. Log into Top Flockstars using your Facebook account - we'll show you which of your friends are already using Flock
2. Use our form to tell your non-Flocking friends to download Flock
3. For each person who downloads Flock and logs into Facebook, you'll get a token
4. Spend your tokens on nifty rewards!
If you're super-persuasive with your friends, you'll get visibility on the Top Flockstars leaderboard (I'm looking forward to watching the competition). You can also compete on a smaller scale with the friends leaderboard, which shows you how you're doing against your own Facebook friends. And, of course, you get the joy of knowing you've turned your friends on to an awesome browser.
This program is made possible through the power of Facebook Connect. Instead of requiring you to sign up for a new account to participate, all you need are your Facebook credentials. Simple. How do I get credit for the six friends I have already using Flock that I recruited?

You have posted after a long time. I think you last posted about 2.5 months ago. I guess you were working on some new features.
Evan, how about adding a option to let Flock users put Flock Download option in their websites?
When people download Flock via the link from the website, we get a token. It will be like a referral program.
Can something like that happen?
Also, I have seen [in this blog] lot of spam comments where people advertise products, or they put many links to bad websites etc: Don't you use any anti-spam add-on/plugin to fight against such thing?

@Ken: If those 6 friends are using Flock and Facebook, you should get 1 point (1 for every 10 friends already using Flock). Did that not happen for you?
@Nicole: Yeah, unfortunately we can't affect that - it's a Facebook limitation.
@a1newspapers: Because we're using Facebook Connect to power the tracking of this program, there is no way to have badges on your site that let you earn referral points. We may develop a program to do this in the future, but it's not planned at this time.
As for the spam issue, we've taken some measures in the last few days that should hopefully curb that.
@Will: Sorry to hear that! Can you make sure you're not logged into Facebook in another browser? Facebook only allows you to be connected in one at a time, and that can cause problems.
@kmorrison: Nope, unfortunately it doesn't work that way since we're using Facebook Connect.

The Facebook connect invitation would be much more effective if you allowed the sending member to add a text comment before sending. They could explain the fact it's built on Firefox for starters and that might get a number of them to actually follow the link who otherwise won't bother because they're devoted to it and simply don't look at other possibilities.
We gave a Flyin' Flock! We like this product so much, our company decided to show it to a group of our clients and colleagues in the form of a party and presentation. Last week, brandt ronat + company kicked off the first in a series of three events aimed at demonstrating the power of Flock. Nearly everyone who attended has gone back to their offices and signed up! The feedback was incredible—nearly all the attendees were blown away by the feature set and could see the possibilities that Flock unlocks.
@Evan My six friends using Flock before the contest started, are all using it because I recruited them. Is there any way to get points for them? :^)

This method looks very similar to spreadfirefox or any other mozilla product. But, I have to add that it is very inovative, expecially about the facebook part. I am sure it will do well with the public, especially if you market it on facebook, wich has a lot, and i mean alot of users.

I am starting to get used to Flock. I am now working as a QA engineer for a web design studios instead of working with just software apps. I am putting the web pages though testing on the flock browser when I have any Ad-Hoc hours available and so far it is just as solid as FireFox is. I really like the default tabs configuration and will be showing it to my kids. They should probably start using it as there default browser seeing that there life revolves around social networking.

A few years back, Myspace was absolutely amazing for this (especially with

Just tried to share flock with friend on facebook through top flockstars, but the interface from facebook to select friends seems broken: after login through facebook connect I can see the friend selection window from fb, but no friends icon in it. I'm using flock 2.0.3 on a Jaunty Jackalope Linux box...how to lose weight fast
