Redwood City, CA --- January 28, 2009 --- Flock, producer of the social web browser, today announced major achievements and significant growth in 2008.
In 2008, Flock was downloaded more than 4.5 million times and the award winning browser saw a 400 percent increase in active users. The satisfaction rate was over 92 percent and over 83 percent of Flock users surveyed indicate that they are recommending Flock to their friends. Flock also announced that over 70 percent of its users set Flock as their primary browser, and on average people use Flock for over four hours per day. “The engagement we’re seeing with Flock proves that there’s a tremendous opportunity to help our users cut through the clutter online and get more out of the time they have to connect with valued friends and information,” said Shawn Hardin, CEO of Flock. “In 2009, we’re focused on introducing more social users around the globe to the power of a user-centered experience in the browser. You’ll see the result of this continuing commitment to innovation throughout the year.”
