Flock ALWAYS takes a long time for the program to load and come up.
i dont know why. it used to open within seconds and now it takes anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes to open.

Can I ask what extensions/add-ons you have installed? How many RSS feeds are you subscribed to? How many bookmarks do you maintain? These are all things that can slow Flock down when it initially starts up.
What OS are you using (Mac OS X, Windows XP, Vista, etc)?
Also, which version of Flock are you using? Type "about:" into the address bar to find out.
Knowing these things can help Flock diagnose your particular problem. My money's on the number of RSS feeds and bookmarks. Removing feeds and bookmarks you no longer care about should help speed things up.
1.1 definetly doesnot take 5 to 20 mins If so there is something drastically wrong both with system and internet connection speeds. also disk full will lead to this problem. also zero house keeping, also too many memory resident programs specifically norton or any other trouble creating antivirus software.
2.1 my problem is it does not open as fast as any other browsers(operating 4 to 5 at a time and have operated more than 25 browsers.
2.2 flock and netscape 9 could not be updated since three months.
any solution
Re: 2.1. Yes, Flock does some stuff behind the scenes when it loads, such as updates RSS feeds and loading your online bookmarks, if you use them. Also, browser add-ons/extensions can cause Flock (and Firefox) to take longer to load.
Re: 2.2. To update Flock, go to Help->Check for Updates. You can also download the new Flock 2.0 from flock.com. I think automatic updates (downloaded behind the scenes similar to Firefox updates) will update Flock 1.2 users to Flock 2.0 beginning in a few weeks.
Netscape 9.0.0.6 is the last version release by AOL Netscape, and is no longer supported. Read more on their browsers page.
