Yahoo mail won't open

In the last week or so, Flock quit being able to open yahoo's mail website. A page comes up saying "The page isn't redirecting properly
Flock has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." What is causing this problem all of a sudden?

Can you provide us with the ultimate URL that appears when the error appears? This'll help us hunt the bug down.

Also:

  • How are you getting to this page? Are you typing mail.yahoo.com into the addressbar, are you clicking the icon in Accounts&Services, or something else?
  • Does this happen if you try to go to Gmail or AOL Mail by the same method?
  • Which version of Flock are you using?

I'm having the same problem. Just bought a new HP laptop and already having problems with loading up Yahoo. (An older laptop loads it up just fine). At first, only YahooMail wouldn't load, no matter how you attempt to open it, but now it seems to have spread to all other yahoo pages. This includes my Yahoo Instant Messenger and even the yahoo homepage, yahoo.com. I've tried to clear my browser cache and restart my computer, but it didn't work. I'm really frustrated as my work revolves around my email. Not sure what the problem is, or what to do...

I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

I'm having the same problem too, but with IE. It started last week with my yahoo mail not initially loading, but eventually doing so when I would try again. Then, starting last night I could not get to either my yahoo email or yahoo homepage at all, even though non-yahoo pages loaded okay. HELP!

@ Hannah: What version of Flock are you on? You can confirm this by going to your URL/address bar above, and typing in about: hit enter, this will tell you the version. If you're not on the latest version, please update from flock.com, and then let me know if the problem still persists! Thanks so much.

@ Phil Boura: Unfortunately, I don't use Internet Explorer, so I can't help you much there. That would be a question for the IE Support team or Yahoo support. If you're having problems using the Flock browser, please don't hesitate to ask me questions about that. Thanks!

I am using the latest version of flock but couldnt open my yahoo account eversince i updated my flock. Please help to resolve the problem. It shows loading endlessly.

I've asked one of the developers here who deals with our Webmail exclusively and he thinks this might actually not be a Flock issue.

But to clarify I was wondering if you're using the new or classic mode of Yahoo? What are the exact steps you are taking to log in?

Are you using a link to get to the page or typing in the URL bar directly? Are you seeing the "Remember" account notification?

Please let me know these details and we will go from there.

Help...I cannot open my classic yahoo mail. I can sign in and see my inbox but when I try to open the emails to read them it will not open. No error code just sits there and grinds...I have to have my email for my job. I have called yahoo 3 x but they cannot help me..i have spent countless hours on the phone trying to fix this. Plz can someone help me????

I'm having this same problem now. It just started last night. Everything was fine & then suddenly I got a new email (I have yahoo messenger) & when I tried to click to open it, nothing happened. I tried directly going to my yahoo home page, but it still didn't work. It'll say that it's "loading" for a 1 minute & 14 seconds (I just timed it) & then it stops & I just get a blank white screen, although the url shows yahoo (or yahoo mail, or my yahoo, depending on which site I tried to open). I have the problem whether I click a link, or type in the url.

I opened Explorer & was able to get to yahoo & open my mail just fine. I even re-downloaded Firefox & was able to open yahoo in that. But still can't get it in Flock. So it's not a Yahoo problem, just Flock.
