Ive loved Flock since it first arrived.I used v0.5 which was simple & stable.I went back to Firefox when later versions crashed!
Now im back with Flock which is the best browser of all.
.I had been using FFv2;0.0.4 which was limited compared to Flock.I used FF because i had it set up.When it "auto-updated" to v2.0.0.14 it became so slow & crashed every day at least once.V3.0pri but didn't offer enjoyable browsing.
Now i have my new laptop i wanted a browser thats stable wonderful to use good to look at & can be set up as i want. Opera is stable but boring unconfigerable & has a forum that TELLS you that you CAN do.And is amazed to find even they cant WHEN they try.
After running FF Opera Flock and others i found my Flock v0.5 the best then "risked" installing Flock v1.2 at once it opened almost as fat as opera! I could use the FF bits i wanted,& play music without having to download Adobe flash player that FF must have.;Its WONDERFUL the perfect browser again by flock!
MY QUESTION: How much will the firefox v3 platform be used by Flock?? Will favorites remain as they are now in the "classic" form or vanish as with the current FF v3? Will URLs used be stored or will the bar "find" sites that correspond as i enter a URL??As v3 dose now?
Can i keep this Flock version as is while i "try" the new flock based of FFv3?
Where can i find "old Flock" versions to download??
I love Flock as it is!! When i deleted my old Flock v1 i got an email, you were concerned that you were loosing a user & wanted to help.Flocks a caring browser.

Hey splash,
We will be moving to the Firefox 3 platform, and I'm actually currently writing some articles on what this'll look like. Expect them in the next week or two.
I'm not sure what you mean by "classic favorites" vs FF3 favorites. We will be moving our back-end to the same code as FF3, but you will still have the Favorites sidebar, toolbar, and dropdown menu like you have now.
Yes, the addressbar will autocomplete based on your history. This isn't really new; Flock's search box has always done this, Firefox 3 just moved it to the addressbar. From what I understand, we will continue to have history search in the search box while also adding it to the addressbar.
You won't be able to have both versions of Flock installed, but you can easily switch back and forth by running the respective installers. One of the focuses in Firefox 3 and Flock 2 is more stable profiles, so migrating your profile between Flock 1.2 and Flock 2.0 will not be an issue.
Let me know if I can clear anything else up!

How can I manually import my favorites from Flock 1.2 to the 2.0b1?
Thanks,
Chris

Chris: Others have noticed this problem as well. Erwan @ Flock figured out a fix, and it sounds like it will appear in the next public release/preview of Flock 2.0. However, there's a set of steps you can follow to get these favorites back. Read Erwan's email regarding this.
You'll need to install Flock 1.2 in a separate directory (both will read from the same profile information, so you'll only be able to have one version open at a time).
