I saw this cool marketing ad from Firefox http://www.operationfirefox.com and what it was is people would post 3.5 foot stickers in places were people would notice. I thought this would be a nifty campaign for flock. The stickers were $65 dollars to buy but if you summited a great idea you got it for free. Then the best snapshot of the sticker won either a laptop or 1 of the Wiis.

Hey Jcool,
That was definitely a cool campaign! I'm worried that it wouldn't work as well for Flock because there is much less brand recognition of our name. Let's brainstorm some other ideas...how could we all mobilize to get Flock out in front of people who would be interested?
First thought (something I've been mulling on for awhile): some sort of fun event at colleges (where everyone is on Facebook) where you get free food and hear about Flock.
Other ideas?

I was thinking at even a band of some sort and maybe gave everyone free copy of flock would spread the word. You could also have some sort of shop or what not to sell backpacks and t-shirts

Aim toward college online radio networks, giving them stickers/merchendise. SCADRadio only broadcasts online, so listeners have to be on a connected computer, which would be easier to mention (or link to) Flock.

I am almost positive when myspace is implemented into flock that this will open many doors..! This would benefit myspace as well and I am sure they wouldn't mind throwing in some kind of initiative so to speak :) Flock needs a campaign name any suggestions?

Campaign name: Flock You.
Idea 1: Create a PDF for all Flock users that'll fit on an A6 piece of paper (think of A4 folded twice to make quarters), and print some off. Carry some with you. When you see someone who could well be interested in technology (Talking about people hanging around the PC area of WalMart, or any area in PC World, etc etc), hand one to them, telling them "You've been Flock'd." Walk away, unless they're wanting to talk about it with you. They'll read the first line, which'll have something like "Been Flock'd? Learn more at flock.com.", which could well be the only thing on there, accompanied by the Flockstar Star.
Idea 2: A little more invasive, but whatever. Stickers, with the Flockstar and 'Flock.com' on them. Walk up to someone, and put the sticker on their shoulder casually.
Come on guys, think virally! ;D
