Hey everone, my name is Nicolas.
Yesterday I installed Flock, I like it very much.
First I wanna congratulate all developers of this great Firefox based Software, its excellent :).
The reason because I'm creating this post is because I cant install the Shockwave Player PLUGIN. I wanna play a Shockwave game and I cant. I see the PopUp Windows that advertise me that I need the Plugin, I install it, then I restart Flock but the game doesn't appear and the popup still there...
Have somebody a solution to this problem?
Thanks!!
PD: Sorry, Im from Argentina and my english its very bad :S

Aren't the Flash and Shockwave the same plugin now? I could be wrong...but try installing the Adobe Flash plugin.
I will warn you, I have trouble with the Adobe Flash plugin in Flock, the browser kept dying on me. I'm in Linux, and I don't know if the Windows version is having the same problem or not. Anyway, I'd give that a try.

I don't know.. i can run Flash animations (like Youtube.com videos) but I can't see Shockwave-based games :S

I have the exact same problem. I can view flash based content but i can't seem to install the shockwave plugin into flock. even a manual install of the plugin doesn't work

Hi,
I wasn't able to repro any problem when installing the latest Adobe Flash Player and Shockwave Flash 9.0 r115 works fine on my side.
Which version did you try to install? What type of problem are you seeing (what type of error/message)?
Thanks,
Sophie

Hi,
I believe I have the same problem. I have flock v 1.0.3, and I can view flash content perfectly, but shockwave content isn't working. I see the "install missing plugin" message, and I have installed it - shockwave 10.1 - but it asking that I install the missing plugin.
I encountered this problem on toyota.ca, with their shockwave based customize it tool.

I should add I'm running XP.

I have tried this procedure but does not work.
1. Start Flock with a clean profile.
2. Go to toyota.ca
3. Choose English
4. Choose Customization
5. Click to customize
6. Select any vehicle
7. Install the missing plugins, Macromedia Shockwave Player 10.1

I have been using flock for several months now - and I am loving it. Happy it's built off of mozilla because I can use all my fun plugins, but I can't get the flash player to work at all. I am running flock on vista and xp.
Anytime I try to view content that is in flash I need to use IE. How can I get this to work in flock? I have downloaded the flash player, installed it, and it says it's successful - but whenever I go to a site with flash it says that I need flash installed to watch this content.

I'm not sure, but it sounds like the Java Runtime Environment plug in may be needed, which is something I can't seem to install into Flock, it never worked for me, so I use that other ugly browser that came with Windows to play games at iWon.com

Hi, I found the solution.
Yo must have Firefox installed or download the files from some place:
1- Install the Shockwave plugin on Firefox.
2- Copy the folder from Program Files/Mozilla Firefox/Plugins to Program Files/Flock/flock/plugins.
Try it.. good luck

^This worked perfectly, copying the plugins from Firefox, Thanks for the solution!
I just want to add that I love flock. For some reason it works much faster than Firefox for me, even with Fasterfox installed on FF. I wanted to play isketch and on FF I have terrible lag, but on flock it was perfect.
Great browser, thanks a lot :)

This fix doesn't work for me. I followed the instructions and then went to try it out at http://www.shockwave.com/
When I try to load the shockwave game it says: This game not available in this browser. :(
I like flock a lot but unless it can do the things that firefox and IE etc can do than it will never be my default browser.
