Still having the same problem that was occuring with Photobucket earlier but now seems fixed in regards to setting up an acct in WordPress.
Flock tells me to log out and log back in to set up acct, but that does not solve the problem.
Thanks,

Hey Chris,
We've been following this issue, it seems some users (like myself) are still experiencing issues, while other users are having no problems. A bug is on file and can be viewed at https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.cgi?id=8488. As a potential solution, if you have another blog setup you can open the blog editor and add the account manually through the editor.
I haven't tried this recently, does this still occur if you update to 0.9.0.2? Also, if the regular way of setting up the account still fails, have you tried manually adding the account through the blog editor? This method seems to work.
Please let me know how it goes, we might need to re-open this issue.
I have the same problem: can't add my Wordpress self hosted blog to the blogging tool.
I've tried the log in/log out option with no luck. Going through the blogging window didn't help either. After I give the correct details, I get the message: 'Error retrieving blogs. There was an error detecting your blog settings...'
Info:
Wordpress 2.1.3
Flock 0.9.1.3
Mac OS X 10.4.10
The problem (or a very similar one the one) mentioned in the original post has also been discussed in this thread : Keeps saying to configure wordpress.com.
It seems Flock's Wordpress account auto-detection fails when the blog name does not match your Wordpress user name. However, you can configure the blog manually through the blog editor's setup, and access all blogs under the account through the Blog Plus extension (see cross referenced thread for details). The workaround works with Worpress.com acounts, but I have no idea of your mileage with self hosted accounts.
As to Flock's blog editor choking on your account details as it seems to do for some of the follow up posters, I am sorry to say I have nothing to contribute.

Are there any updates on this. Flock would be a great browser because I love the facebook and flickr integration but I have started using firefox again because I can blog from it.
I tried to work around. From the other thread. How can we convince the flock team that this is high priority?
A very simple fact is that I tried Flock because it seems to work well with many web application, but as soon as I found that it can't work with my blog, I quited.
I haven't been able to beat this one, either. I would think that if a lot of people remain active on this thread, it will get attention from the flock team. I know they said what's up over here, as well as on a thread about Last.fm integration. (Comment there, too!)
We are aware that some folks are having issues setting up self-hosted Wordpress blogs. There is a bug open about this at https://bugzilla.flock.com/show_bug.cgi?id=11172 and we are working to figure this out. Thanks for your reports!
Just downloaded Flock v1.0.9 and have experienced this same issue. Solving it through the Blog Editor does not seem to work in my case. Realising that the last post from Flock Support is from November 29, 2007, I am Sorry to say that I will uninstall Flock until this issue is definitely solved. Flock doesn't give enough add value in my case to keep it, unless my Wordpress Blog is seamlessly working with Flock. Good Luck and looking forward to you solving this problem.
I can't believe this is still on going...that yellow bar telling me to log out in order to configure my wordpress account is driving me nuts, at first if i hit the log out button on the yellow bar it would log me out, i would then log in again and i wouldn't see the bar again but now hitting the button on the yellow bar does nothing, the bar disapears for a second then comes back telling me i need to log out to configure wordpress...all my blogs on wordpress are listed in the blog editor as configured to use with Flock yet every time i view one of my blogs i get this annoying yellow bar appear until i have manually logged out of wordpress and logged back in again....i can blog ok just so fed up with this yellow bar wanting me to log out then not letting me.
Is this ever going to be sorted out as i love the Flock browser and this is the only issue i've ever had with it...however, it's now starting to grate on the nerves a bit...please, please...someone help!
I posted to the other thread a while back about this and hoped there'd be a fix listed by now but i can't find anything...if iv'e missed it some where sorry...thank you...and could someone please point me in the right direction!
OH!!!...no response!...does this mean no one at Flock is bothered about this issue...maybe i'm just in the wrong thread, or maybe the wrong place all together!
Please download the latest version of Flock, v1.1. You can get it here from flock.com, and it will install over your current version and keep all your settings. The bug you mention *should* be fixed in 1.1, and please let us know if it is not.

I just installed and used Flock Sulfur and it is having the same problem with ,,y wordpress.com blog.
I can use the blog editor and publish to suezannecbaskerville.wordpress.com just fine. I just keeps saying I need to log out and re-log in again in order to configure the account.
SuezanneC Baskerville in Second Life - SuezanneCB in Flock and elsewhere
suezanne at some other places - Sue Baskerville at some other other places
http://suezannecbaskerville.wordpress.com
http://suebaskerville.com
http://suebaskerville.blogspot.com
I tried everything, but eventually solved the problem by creating an .htaccess (note the dot and the absence of file extension) file and uploading it to the site's root directory.
The .htaccess file has the following content:
SecFilterInheritance Off
Thanks to Michael Fraser (http://www.michael-fraser.com/2006/08/29/windows-live-writer-doesnt-work-on-my-blog.htm)(quoting someone else) for this solution
Thanks for the feedback. You can use one of the many Blogging Services supported by Flock, instead of trying to set up a Self-Hosted blog. This can be very complicated, which is why we provide easy access to services like Blogger, Blogsome and LiveJournal.

First, let me appologize for my previous comment. I was really frustrated with this. It really put a damper on my day. That being said, I think I have your fix! Or at least it works for me.
It lies in wordpress settings.
Log into your dashboard and go to SETTINGS>WRITING
scroll down to REMOTE PUBLISHING and make sure the XML-RPC box is checked and save your changes. Your set! Go back into editor and setup your account as directed.
Just to let you know, I am unemployed and need a job?! lol
OK, maybe just a little reward? My PayPal email is rat@eyetalk.tv
Just fun'n around! But I am unemployed?! lol
I do really love the browser and will now take part in spreading the word about it!
I don't know if my post went through. I don't see it? But I found the fix for setting up self-hosted WordPress account! I'll check in the morning to see if it posted. It's getting late here.
Thanks for the apology :) No worries, we totally understand that Flockers get frustrated.
Thank you for the fix! We really appreciate you taking the time to do that. As far as I know there's not any current openings at Flock, but keep your eyes peeled on flock.com!
As for a reward, I definitely don't have the pull to offer anyone money :) But I can send some stickers your way. Please email your address directly to my personal email listed below.
Thanks for your support!

Any news on this? I am having this problem too.

I'm also experiencing this problem with my self-hosted Wordpress blog.
Is there any error log recorded when Flock encounter this error?
Maybe we can help investigate this problem by providing our error log.

Same here. I would LOVE this browser if I could use it with my self hosted wordpress blog.

Al this talk about rsd xmlrta, fuebfkvguhebn is ridiculous. If the product doesn't work, DON'T PUT IT OUT!!!
I really liked the idea here. But whats the point if it can't do the job. So far I have wasted far too much time 'fixing' instead of BLOGGING!!!
