flock won't login to photobucket

Hi, I have been TRYING to use photobucket for my images to put in my webstore. pb suggested flock browser so I downloaded flock and then at the top left is a wide bar [that is used for slideshows?] and it says that 'it appears that you have lost your connection to the internet. Please check your settings and try again'
but I AM connected to internet-dialup- and everytime that I try to use photobucket on flock I get the same message so I can't do anything with my images.

Can you help??
thanks

I can access my stuff on photobucket ok
I was have trouble before though
Can you access any photos from photobucket as in click the photos icon
then from the drop down strip that appears you can choose public photos then choose either flicker or photobucket

What fixed my problem was that with the dropdown photos strip open and trying to connect to my photos thatway I actually made the web browser go to www.photobucket.com and then logged into my account that way.. it has been ok since then

No I haven't tryed all that yet cause if I couldn't use flock for pb, then I would get rid of it! But my problem is --- flock keeps saying that I am not connected to the internet when I try to use images!

Hello Mentalbows,

Are you able to view photos at the photobar?

Hello Micheleq68,

Are you using dial-up as well? Are you having a problem to upload photos or view photos?

Hi Folks,

We appreciate the feedback. I've been working with our engineers at Flock and with Photobucket to try and resolve these issues. The hard part is that we can't reproduce these problems on our systems.

What we do know is the Flock from time to time will get logged out of Photobucket. This usually causes a connectivity error to be reported. What will temporarily fix this is to go to photobucket site, www.photobucket.com and log back in.

We're continuing to work on this problem. Thanks for your feedback and patience.

Hi Mike,

you said "What will temporarily fix this is to go to photobucket site, www.photobucket.com and log back in."

no that does not temporarily fix the problem. I did that, all of that, over and over and over an....., before I started this thread.

But hey, we got faith in ya!

Hey Patricia, yep I am on that pitiful thing 'they' call dialup. and as I wrote in another post, I do not have photos in flock or pb yet. I started having problems the moment that I first downloaded them! bummer. seems as though nothing works like it is advertised to. You read how a program should run, then you think 'YES" then nothin,. won't work.
gee, sounds a bit like that whole microsoft gimmick! Now THAT is the start of ALL pc problems!

Hi mentalbows,

What exactly is your problem? Can you configure the account, but not upload photos? Or can you not configure the account at all?

Is your Photobucket account configured in Flock? To check, open the Accounts and Services window under the Tools menu. Select the Photos tab and make sure your Photobucket account is configured.

For me, it worked beautifully for the first few weeks, but in the last week or so, when I hit 'upload', it says: 'there was an invalid response from the server'. heavy sigh. I was really liking Flock up til about a week ago!

Mike, thanks but I've done everything recommended and I'm still getting the same message. Wish y'all could figure out what the problem is because I do like Flock but I can't keep wasting time selecting photos to be uploaded and then nada...having to go back and do it the old fashioned way.

Hi frillseeker,

I apologize for the inconvenience. The developers are continuing to look into the cause of this problem. We hope to have the problem narrowed down soon.

What version of Flock are you using?

Also, you might want to try clearing your Photobucket cookies. You might be sessioned to a bad server.

I'm having a similar problem, mine's crazy because my computer in my room is running off the same wireless connection that my dad uses on his computer in his home office (we're all under the same roof) andy IMAGE hosting site (photobucket, tinypic) I can't get on it at all! I get the "internet explorer could not display the page" warning, and that i "must" not be connected to the internet. i am connected, and my dad's computer can access these sites fine! I've deleted my browser history as I was told sometimes that helps but I still can't access these sites. On Myspace and picture that is on there from these sites just loads up with the white box with the red "x" in it. HELP!!!
