Facebook doesn't load in the People sidebar, what do I do?
Facebook has recently changed something on their website that causes Facebook friends not to appear in the People Sidebar. We have fixed this issue in Flock 1.1.4, available from flock.com or by going to Help>Check for Updates.
If you upgrade to 1.1.4 and are still experiencing this issue, please follow these steps:
1. Select the Tools->Options menu, or, if on a mac, Flock->Preferences
2. From that dialog, select the Advanced pane
3. Inside this pane choose the "Update" tab
4. Click on the "Force Service Updates" button
5. Restart Flock
6. Enjoy your Facebook people again!
Why are my photos not uploading properly to Flickr?
There has been some reports of Flock not uploading pictures to Flickr properly. The uploader is indicating that the photos have been uploaded successfully, but they are not showing up on the Flickr site.
This is not actually a Flock issue. Flickr is aware of this and they have reported that they are working on it.: Flickr Forum
Why can't I use or save passwords in Flock Beta 3?
After upgrading to Flock 2.0 Beta 3, you may find that you can no longer save new passwords. Also, that previously saved passwords are not automatically filled in when visiting certain web sites.
If you are a Beta 3 Flock user that has a (unicode) password, then you may get a "log out" message bar popping up. We are aware of this issue and are currently working on a fix. There is more information regarding this in Firefox FAQ section- Firefox FAQs.
Why is my anti-virus software reporting that Flock has a virus?
If you are using the anti-virus programs AVG or ClamAV, they may identify the Flock installer as having a virus. However, this is a false alarm, this is NOT a virus.
There is a virus with a similar signature to the Flock installer and this can impact Flock versions as far back as 1.0. We will be updating our code so that future versions of Flock won't cause this false positive to occur.
** AVG put out an update on May 12, 2008 so that the Flock installer is no longer detected as a virus. So this issue should not occur anymore for AVG users.
