Dan Burkhart, VP of Business Development and Marketing Dan brings a diverse background of Business Development and Marketing that is closely coupled with a strong appreciation for user experience and product design spanning fifteen years of experience. At Flock, Dan has responsibility for all aspects of Marketing, including: Brand, Product Marketing, Internet Marketing and Community Marketing as well as the supporting Business Analytics functions. In addition, he is also responsible for all respects of business development to help grow Flock’s distribution around the world. Before coming to Flock, Dan ran eBay’s Global Buyer Engagement team, whose charter was to develop user-generated content properties to lace together the many micro-communities that make eBay thrive. Dan's team launched numerous products, including: Reviews and Guides, Blogs, Wikis, MyWorld and Neighborhoods for eBay. While at eBay, he also held various roles within eBay's Internet Marketing group; having run the Portals and Partner group, eBay’s Affiliate Marketing program, as well as the Natural Search (SEO) team. Prior to eBay, Dan worked for two startups and was a Sr. Director of Business Development for NBC Internet, where he played a key role in building the company from $20MM in revenue to $120MM. Dan attended the University of Pennsylvania's, Wharton School for his undergraduate degree in economics and received his MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
