Director of User Experience
Joanie McCollom is a slasher. She likes slashes, like "rogue designer/anthropologist" (her description of her career), "Flock employee/dissertation writer" (her description of what she's currently doing), and "too cool for school/can't touch this" (her description of herself).
Joanie joined Flock in 2009 as the Director of User Experience, which according to her means "all your experience are belong to me." She's immensely excited to work with the entire Flock team to create the most enjoyable browser experience possible.
Joanie has eclectic taste in design (felted objects), bands (Creeper Lagoon), and dog names (Kinda Foxy). Her presence has had an immediate impact in the Flock offices, from her challenges to the browser status quo to the bird call she makes to indicate it is time for lunch. This last item is due to her being raised by hawks [needs citation].
