Joshua hails from Victoria in Canada, a place with the same perfect climate and culture as Vancouver, with one quarter the rain!
A self-proclaimed pacifist at heart, Joshua falls “somewhere North of vertical on the left-to-right political or philosophical scale.” More radical than Liberals, more tight-fisted than Conservatives, Joshua believes it's humanity's destiny to exterminate itself in Nuclear winter. He is also an optimist.
Raised as a Dervish, Joshua was the eldest son of 9 children. In 1989 he ran away and joined the circus where he was a juggler, unicyclist, acrobat hand-balancer, and half-decent amateur on the tightrope. He is the inventor of the much-renown juggling pattern McKenty Madness (“think Rubenstein's Revenge with a Burk's Barrage-style lift, and more bearclaw”).
These days, most of Joshua’s juggling involves balancing his many duties as Senior Engineer at Flock and his active home life. In his spare time Joshua enjoys spending time with his wife and 3-year old daughter and is into rock climbing, playing piano and starting small companies. He also enjoys fine teas, gourmet organic food, classical and jazz piano and the occasional case of red bull.
His Future Goals (outside of world domination) include mastering a double-backflip, co-authoring an open standard, and getting more sleep.
